Six cases of You Know Fucking What have triggered a three day lockdown in Brisbane. Cue the inevitable shopping frenzy news report.

I'm becoming skeptical about these 'mad rush pre lockdown' stories. No doubt a few stores got some extra traffic. In my part of McGowanstan, aka Perth there were the same stories back in June, but I didn't see it reflected at my regular Coles and IGA. There were more signs about rationed products than there were empty shelves.
These urban panic tales are more about keeping us scared than keeping us informed.
