Welcome to my weekly round up of books I have read this week. It has been a busy week and not quite as much reading as usual. I thought I would have a look at my stats for the Goodreads Reading Challenge and I am nearly three quarters of the way through. So far I have read 141 books out of a planned 200. I am 25 ahead of schedule si I am delighted with that.

The #20booksofsummer reading challenge is taking a little longer as I keep reading books that I had not added to it. Currently I have read 11 out of the 2o that I hope to read by the end of the month.

I listened to The Silk Roads by Peter Frankopan, I do own a copy of this in book format and I am wanting to read it but just haven't quite settled down to it as yet. When I saw the audio version available on NetGalley I immediately requested it. It is a fabulous audio to listen to. It is simplified for 11+ years and is as such classed as a chidlrens audio, but I loved it.

I do adore Kathryn Freeman and her books are a joy to read. The Beach Reads Book Club is just brilliant. Yes, it is about a book club and it is one I would love to be a member of. They do discuss books, consume cake and gin and chat about their lives generally. A gorgeous read and one that I loved. Full review to follow as part of the blog tour.

How can motherhood be The Best Most Awful Job. Well, 20 authors from a range of backgrounds and countries have each written an essay describing their experiences in an honest and very open way. Explaining various things about changes to not only the body but also on their perspectives. What ever route is taken, and there are several, this book explores motherhood. This was a great book that looks at prejudices, stereotypes, stigmas and feels very personal. My full review for this book will be later this week.

There we have it, three books this week.

Wishing you all the very best int he week ahead,

All the best,

Yvonne xx
