Radio towers bombed inside Moldovan Transnistria, a Moscow-backed state neighbouring Ukraine
Washington Post
[Author's note:] In week 9 of this year, I highlighted reports suggesting Russia appeared it may have been preparing to invade Moldova, a country that shares a border with Ukraine. Inside Moldova is a pro-Russian separatist state by the name of 'Transnistria.'
This week, military assets in Transnistria were bombed. Who bombed what, exactly, and why, remains unclear.
A Russian general last month suggested that one aim of the invasion could be to capture land along Ukraine's south, forming a land corridor to Transnistria.
Officials from Moldova and Ukraine condemned the remark, though it remained unclear if it is official policy. Tensions were ignited anew in recent days by reports of explosions that Transnistrian officials said hit a radio center and a security headquarters. On Wednesday, there were further reports that a village housing a Russian arms depot was hit by shots after drones flew over from Ukraine.

Major Asian shipping group says young workers in seafaring sector decreasing
HSN
On 21st April 2022, the 27th Interim Meeting of the Seafarers Committee (SC), Asian Shipowners' Association (ASA), was held virtually.
In some Asian countries and regions, however, there are fewer and fewer young people willing to work as seafarers.
As a result, the number of third mates and fourth engineer officers is decreasing significantly, and the subsequent supply of seafarers is insufficient. Undoubtedly, the epidemic will be accelerating the loss of seafarers, especially young seafarers.
