Sussan Ley (pictured) has just announced she will challenge Peter Dutton for the leadership of the federal parliamentary Liberal Party.
Her decision follows the latest counting in the Aston by-election. With 23 of the 36 booths now counted, the Liberals' Roshena Campbell has 35.64 per cent of the primary vote; Labor's Mary Doyle is on 41.20 and the Greens have 12 per cent.
The Liberal Party's federal politicians will take the vote at a special meeting on Tuesday.
