I've just received an email from my local bookshop, advertising a sale. This makes me really concerned, because they're not the sale type…I hope they aren't closing down!
One More Time by Mandy Magro (available June) was a surprise from Harlequin. Grace is looking forward to her seventieth birthday and the party with it, but she will also have to reveal a devastating secret. Her former husband Charlie has something to tell Grace too, but they are caught on opposite sides of an argument as tempers fray.
Wandering Souls by Cecile Pin is longlisted for this year's Women's Prize for Fiction. It's about siblings escaping Vietnam after the war. After boats and refugee camps, they find themselves in Margaret Thatcher's Britain, ready to start a new life. But this place doesn't seem to want them…
Fire Rush by Jacqueline Crooksis about Yamaye, who like many others, lives for the weekend. She enjoys music and raves until she meets Moose and falls in love. But when their relationship is cut short, her life is transformed when the past and present collide.
