I chased people all over these last twenty years. I watched 'em at work, at pubs, at nightclubs. I watched 'em at the casino and down on the beach. One time I watched a guy in the bush down near Pemberton for standard rate plus petrol and accommodation.
Good job, that one. He had a little friend and they were hiding from his wife. Funny thing is all the time they were there he was just fishing and she was painting watercolour pictures of trees. Takes all kinds.
But what do you do when you get paid for not finding someone - with a detailed list of where not to go? And at least a couple of weeks to fill in not looking?
If you're human you dive for the car and start making the rounds of those addresses. If you're a smart human you don't stop and stare - you just cruise on by with the GoPro looking out the side window.
I may not have a good chair, and I may not have a gun that shoots, but at least I got a GoPro. It's not new - I got it at Cashies - but it works pretty well all the time. You can put it in a sports bag and leave it do the looking for you - you can tape it to the side of the car seat and not even have to turn your head. Just don't ever let the cops know you're using it.
Well now was the time to charge it up and start cruisin'. Provided no-one was out the front of the places staring directly at my car, I should have been able to not find anybody all over town for weeks.
Should have. Then my luck kicked in - and wouldn't ya know it did it in Injun territory.
