After all, WA Day, or Foundation Day, as it used to be called, is celebrating the arrival of the first settlers on June 1829, and that coincidentally happened at Bathers Bay right here in Fremantle and not at Burswood or in Perth. Anyway, we know that the State Government, be that a Liberal or Labor one, does not give a rat's arse about Freo. So this Monday there will be an event from 11am to 5pm in the Fishing Boat Harbour that celebrates our multiculturalism, with performers from Oceania, Europe, America.
