When Jason got home, he used to see the light outside the front door. It remained dark.
No matter how late he returned, Jason could always recall his mom waiting for him in the living room.
His mom met him one evening as usual and inquired about asked how his day had gone.
"Mom, I'm tired," he answered as he headed to his room and shut the door.
His mother's death made him realize how much she cared for and loved him.
"Mom," he sobbed, looking at her in the open casket. "I'm so sorry for taking you for granted."
