BrowZine: Never miss a new article in your favourite e-journals!
BrowZine keeps track of new content in the titles you are interested in, and emails you when there are new articles to read! There are three easy steps to be alerted to new content in your favourite e-journals:
Set up a free BrowZine account:
Sign up with a free account here: https://browzine.com. You'll need to provide an email address and password. This does not need to be your Cambridge account; in fact, you may prefer to use a personal one so that you can keep your BrowZine account when you leave.
Pick your favourite journal titles and place them on your bookshelf
Search for your journal of interest by title or ISSN, or browse subject collections. Click "Add to My Bookshelf" when you've found one you'd like to keep track of
Turn on email notifications
Go to the settings 'gear' and decide the frequency of email alerts you would like to get. If you leave notifications switched off, you won't receive an email, but will still be able to see which titles have new content – take a look at your bookshelf when you log in, the number of new articles is marked in red on the corner of each title.
If turned on, you will receive an email notification to the inbox associated with your BrowZine account. A "Read Now" button will appear next to each journal title. Clicking it takes you directly to that title, making it easy to stay up to date with current articles. If you are not logged into your Cambridge or BrowZine accounts at this time you may need to take a couple more steps to log in to reach the content.
Access through iDiscover
You can access BrowZine through iDiscover by using the 'View Journal Contents' links. These links will take you through to BrowZine to view article records without you needing to log into your account, but you will need to log into your account if you want to use the functionality detailed above.
