I got refused insurance cover by the RAC because what I wanted did not fit in their template. My studio house was neither an home or a rental property…something in between that would have upset their actuarial hearts. That was okay. They were able to say it within five minutes and do so politely. I still have my home and cars insured with them and we parted cordially. The other property has a business insurance that covers it with a firm more attuned to my needs. if I pay a bit more, it is just that way life is.
