Gizmodo: Adobe Is Testing a New AI Tool That Can Create Music From Text Prompts. "The era of bad robot music is upon us. Adobe is working on a new AI tool that will let anyone be a music producer—no instrument or editing experience required. The company unveiled 'Project Music GenAI Control'—a very long name—this week. The tool allows users to create and edit music by simply typing in text prompts into a generative AI model. These can include descriptions like "powerful rock," "happy dance," or "sad jazz," Adobe explained."
404 Media: Ghost Kitchens Are Advertising AI-Generated Food on DoorDash and Grubhub. "Dozens of Ghost kitchens, restaurants that serve food exclusively by delivery on apps like DoorDash and Grubhub, are selling food that they promote to customers with AI-generated images. It's common for advertisements to stage or edit pictures of food to make it look more enticing, but in these cases the ghost kitchens are showing people pictures of food that literally doesn't exist, and looks nothing like the actual items they're selling, sometimes because the faulty AI is producing physically impossible food items."

Economic Times: IAMAI advises Google not to delist apps. "The Internet and Mobile Association of India (IAMAI) on Friday advised Google not to delist any apps from Google Play. The IAMAI was responding to reports that Google might go to the extent of removing 10 Indian companies' apps from the Play Store for 'non-compliance' with Google Play policy."
Reuters: Lawyers who voided Elon Musk's pay as excessive want $6 billion fee. "The lawyers who voided Elon Musk's $56 billion compensation as excessive on Friday sought a record a $6 billion legal fee, payable in the electric car maker's stock."
MyBroadband: South Africa's official companies database hacked. "The Companies and Intellectual Property Commission (CIPC) has revealed it suffered a security breach leading to the compromise of its clients' and employees' personal information. The CIPC, which is part of the Department of Trade, Industry, and Competition, put a notice on its website about the incident on Thursday, 29 February 2024."
